These pads are designed to work with random orbital polishers like the Flex and Porter Cable Dual Action Polishers.
Lake Country Hybrid Pads are constructed of a tighter and dense foam which is better to keep the abrasives in contact with the surface being polished. Lake Country Hybrid Power Finish Ultra Performance Pads even go a step further with the ultra dense foam compositions keeping the product on top of the foam, not absorbed inside the pad. Not only will the buffing pad perform better but you will actually use less polish or compound and the Hybrid pads will be much easier to clean. Due to high density foam, the hybrid pads are longer-wearing and maintain their shape through many details.
All of the hybrid pads with exception to the wool pad, features a 45 degree bevel around the edge that enables constant pressure to be evenly distributed across the painted surfaces. The hybrid pad face is flat to allow full contact with large panels. The beveled edge makes it safe to cut in close to vertical panels.
The hook and loop backing material on each pad is 5.5 inch, which makes it self-centering on the Flex XC3401 VRG Orbital Polisher with the factory backing plate a perfect fit! With all other applications, a 5 inch backing plate is suitable.
